More Challenges

Every Monday the sweet girls over at Sisterhood post a new challenge! This week the challenge is: "Let's see some school pictures in a layout". Well, I was asked to create a LO for this challenge and here's my result:

Go to the Sisterhood's blog and see what Deanne, Carla and Susan came up with. And give this challenge a try! And remember, if you do a challenge over there, you'll have a chance to become one of the siters! :-) Deadline is Sept. 2nd.

And here's another challenge LO! This is challenge #2 from Scrapdragons, which is a new cool challenge blog! This time it is a sketch challenge and the sketch is made by Laura Shreve

Here's my take on the challenge:

This pic. is old. It's taken the day after my DH's and mine wedding. I love this shot! He's so tiny and oh so sweet! He's 2 years old on the pic. ... and now he's almost 10. (he turns 10 on Sept. 2nd). :-) I've used black cardboard, flourish from QK, Foof-a-la buttons, patterned papers are: BG, K&Company. There are two flowers and the brad in the middle of the flower is a K&Company Fabric brad. Chipboard also is K&Company.

Thanks a lot for stopping by!! It's so very nice to have visitors and I really appreciate all the nice comments you give me!

I'm a SISTER!!!

Well, here's my little secret!! Look at this!!! I'm a Sister!! :-) ... and what does that mean!?? Well, Carla, Susan and Deanne over at Sisterhood of Scrap chose me to be the "Sister of the Week"!
I will carry this title all week (August 26th to Sept. 1st). So now I officially have joined the SISTERHOOD! I'm so excited. This really is a biggie for me! I have never tried it before!

All week my photo will be placed on the blog. I have made a LO for an upcoming challenge (can't show that one yet) and I have made a challenge to be put up on the blog! All week little information about me will be posted! ... ohhhh it's so much fun!!

This LO I made for the challenge #18. Use BROWN as the dominant colour!!

This is my youngest son. He is daydreaming a lot and I love this shot of him! The journaling tag is Sassafras Lass, buttons, felt flowers, the words to the right is cut out from a vellum "Guy's Life" by American Traditional design. The title is felt Thickers!

Thank you Carla, Susan and Deanne!! I really appreciate this! ((HUGS))!

Ready

Yes, this layout has the word "READY" in it, and it's made for a challenge over at Ordet på Bordet - new Danish challenge blog. It's much alike the One Little Word challenge blog. You are given a word and then you create something using this word! It's so much fun. And it's on Danish... YAY!!

KLAR means "ready".

My layout is about my 2 boys who got rather tired of me using the camera all the time at our Summer vacation 2006. The title means "Not ready for a photoshoot". I thought it was fun to document this. For the title I've used a Medallion drawing pen fine point. I've also used journaling clearstamps by Autumn Leaves, Green and Brown Bazzill, Sassafras Lass patterned paper, cut the flowers from a patterned paper (don't remember it's name) and I've used BUTTONS .... can't have enough of those! I put some green scrappers floss in them. And then I used two NOT so good photos ... but they do have a fun story! So therefore I had to use them on a page.

*****************************************

And now there's 2 days until my little secret is revealed! I'm so excited as something like this never has happened to me before! For me it's a BIGGIE!!! :-)

I'll talk to you later! Thanks for visiting me!

A day off

Ahhhh - today I have a day off - and it's FRIDAY!! It's so very cool! I have been playing a little here in my room - and I've made a LO for a challenge over at Sisterhood of Scrap - I can't show that layout yet, as I'm supposed to mail it. So you'll have to wait. ;-)
But I did this LO - just for fun. My youngest son lost his 3rd tooth right before his 7 years birthday - so I called the layout "(almost) 7". Unfortunately I haven't pictures from the first time he lost a tooth - but I have written a bit about it in my journaling.

Products used: Sassafras Lass patterned paper (I LOVE THAT LINE!!), ric rac ribbon, white uniball Signo pen (WOW it's good!!), Autumn Leaves journaling clear stamps and black background paper.

Thanks a lot for stopping by! :-)

Back to school

Yesterday a new school year started here in Denmark. My two boys were sooooo happy and they looked very much forward to go back to their friends and teachers. And they had a wonderful 1st day at school.

This pic. was taken yesterday morning before heading to school. My big one didn't want to be on the photo... but I forced him! haha!! Look at his grumpy face! ;-)

My youngest one is 7 (turns 8 next month) and are in 2nd grade now. The big one is 9 (turns 10 next month) and his in 4th grade.

I wanted to scrap in the weekend and I wanted to use some photos of my youngest son doing his homework. I didn't know how to place the 3 photos - so I drew a sketch myself. My first attempt in making a LO-sketch. It was fun!!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my layout:

Products used: Sassafras Lass "playtime" paper, dots are cut out from a Creative Imaginations paper, photo frame, Vellum tag, ribbon bought in a local store, letters for the title are alphabet tiles from Hot of the Press.

I got tagged again. This time by my great Norweigean online friend Tone! She has nominated me for the Rockin' Girl Blogger award! Thank you very much sweetie! I really appreciate it! :-)

I have tagged some girls with this wonderful award earlier, but now I will tag a few more:

Jette, who has a wonderful blog and she makes beautiful LOs!
Lone, who also makes great LOs and has a very cosy blog!
Deanne in Canada, who I got to know via Sisterhood of Scrap. She's a great scrapper and is such a nice person!

Thanks a lot for stopping by! :-)

2 more challenge LOs

Here's a LO I did for this weeks unpubbed. It's a scraplift of Corey's beautiful LO called "Love you". I had so much fun doing this one - and I absolutely love the picture of my brother and his oldest son. It's taken on a family vacation in Croatia in 2004. And I've called it "Life's simple treasures".

Next LO is made for the challenge over at Scrapdragons. The challenge is called "All mixed up" and we are supposed to choose elements or whatever inspires us from each of 3 photos shown. It was a FUN challenge!! And this is my take on it:

The picture shows my oldest dear son, enjoying the Summer in the pool. Pic. is taken this summer.
I got inspired by the title, the arrow and the dots from LO #1. The patterned paper with the stripes represent the stripes in the bag from picture #2. And the stars and the doodling corners I've got from LO #3. Thanks for great inspiration!

Well, now we are off to my brother's cottage (again!). The weather is better now and our plans is to stay there until Thursday. Then it's home to my moms birthday! Take care all and thanks a lot for stopping by!

Mini album and a new LO

Well, as I told you in my previous post we've had a lot of rain and bad weather - so I've been creating a lot!!

I surfed the internet and saw this gorgeous mini album at It's a creative world blog I wanted to create one myself. I found a 12 x 12 cardstock and started to measure as the template said. It was so much fun - and the funniest part is that I found some old photos from Christmas 1999 and used for the album.

The last picture shows a little pocket I have made for ekstra photos.
The measures and template can be found at "it's a Creative world" blog.

I also made a LO for the BOM challenge over at Dreampapers The theme is: Make a layout where you describe your favourite things of Summer. This is my result. I'm not exactly satisfied with the result, but I'm glad to have documented my Summer favourites. :-)

My take on the challenge over at All about Eve is ready too. I haven't a photo of it to show you yet. I will try to have it ready for tomorrow. I'm very satisfied with the result. The theme is: "Escape". How do you escape!?? I loved creating this page!

Well I'm off now. Thank you very much for stopping by!
