I really LOVE Thickers. They are so cool! And Scrap-is-Fun had a great sale this week, so I had to buy some!!! I've also ordered different Thickers from the US ;-) ... Cant's wait to play with them!
The K&Company box stuffed with pink goodies, is die cut cardstock and is called "smitten".
Love Elsie cardstock stickers - with 70 different pieces of very cool stickers!

One more sketch layout

Sunday there was a challenge over at SIF.
Rikke (aka Scraps) has made this sketch and it was a fun one to play with! :-)

And here's what I came up with! The pics. are a year old and they show my youngest son as a Master of Karate! Here in Denmark we celebrate "Fastelavn" = shrovetide (in February) - where the kids are dressed up. They hit a big barrel (right word??) and inside the barrel ther's a lot of candy and fruit. When someone hits so hard, so the barrel break he/she becomes the Cat's Queen. The one who hit the last of the barrel off of the rope, becomes the Cat's King. :-) It's a very old tradition. And in the (VERY) old days, a cat was inside the barrel all alive and kicking!! Ohhh my! It doesn't sound good at all!! I'm glad it's only candy and fruit now a days! :-)

Backgroundpaper: Basic Grey "Lilykate".
Patterned paper: Cosmo Cricket "Doc Holiday".
Mini marks (rub ons - right side of the layout + the brackets): American Crafts.
Autumn Leaves journaling Clear Stamps.
Rhonna Farrer clear stamp: "single scroll" for the left side of the layout with flowers on it.
Prima Got Flowers, mini.
Green bling embellishement on the flowers.
Thickers: American Crafts "Rootbeer float".
Buttons: Foof-a-La. (Bag-O-Buttons).
Scrappers floss, Karen Foster: Orange (on the big "F"). Orange and green on the buttons.

Thank you very much for stopping by!

Sketch layout

This sketch is soooo cool! I found it over at the ScrapCatForum - It originally comes from Pagemaps!

I had these (old) photos from Christmas 2005. The journaling is about how creative my mom is. She loves to arrange flowers, create beautiful decorations and set a beautiful table. My dad is the chef - he's food tastes sooooo good! :-)

All papers are Kelly Panacci for Sandy Lion.
Background paper: "In a Nutshell".
Red paper: "Poinsettias".
I've used leftovers for the circles.
Thickers "Champagne".
Felt hearts (from Panduro).
Red slick writer.
Black ink for the edges.

Thank you very much for stopping by! I hope you all have had a GREAT weekend!

A layout for My Scrap Corner

A Danish magazine, called My Scrap Corner, is now closing down. Unfortunately! I think the girls there was very brave and I loved that they actually tried to run a DANISH scrapbooking magazine. Well, I made a layout for a sketch showed on page 23 (issue #3) - a sketch Lisette had made. I loved the sketch - and as I now am a 12 x 12 scrapper I just had to try it. :-) And as the magazine now stops I can show the layout here:

The pictures shows my two boys on the first day of school in August 2007. The were so ready and they looked so much forward to see their friends again.

**********************************************************

I have been tagged by my Norweigean friend Tone. I have to tell 7 (true) facts about myself.

1. I'm afraid of flying
2. I still have my childhood teddybear
3. I love Pepsi Max - I would love to drink it every day!
4. I hate snow in Denmark
5. I love cooking and baking
6. I (still) love to watch Beverly Hills 90210 (which is send on Danish television over and over again!).
7. When I was a teenager I experimented with PUNK! I was all black and very mad!!

I now tag:
Thanni
Marianne - Scrap Cat
Marie Marolle
Jette
Anne Bente

Thanks a lot for stopping by! I appreciate all your visits and nice comments. :-)

Scrapbook Queen 2008 (2) + France

The 2nd challenge for the Scrapbook Queen 2008 challenges is done now.
* Use one picture (NO people on it).
* Use one handcut item (I cut the swirls/doodling).
* Use paint.

I chose to create a layout about one of our skiing vacations. The pic. is taken in Sölden, Austria last year. I've used some OLD paper: DaisyD's for the background and One Heart One Mind under the pic. Buttons are Foof-a-la, scrappers floss by Karen Foster, MM brads for the tags, MM paint (white for the edges and "poppy" under the title). Journaling spots are Heidi Swapp.

Yesterday we returned from a GREAT skiing vacation in France! We lived close to Valmorel and the scenery was so beautiful. Snow, a blue - blue sky, lots of happiness and freedom. Ohh I loved it there! :-) We went by car (my brother, SIL, my DH and I) and it is a long trip (around 1700 kilometres each way). But it was cosy!
Here's some pics from our trip ... and look at the sky! It was amazing! :-)

Me, at the top of a mountain!

The house we rented!

I'll create something now. I have missed being creative a lot! :-)
Thanks a lot for stopping by! I appreciate it a lot.
