Red for Boys

I think that red suits these layouts very well! And the pictures shows my boys. So red for boys are so okay, in my opinion! :-) It's fun to mix a lot of colors - like I did on the "Politiklovn" - which directly translated means "Police-clown". My youngest son LOVES to be the actor of the house. He has so many fun ideas and he really cracks me up! I made this layout over at Dreampapers to a great crop I went to in the beginning of this month. Thanks Annette, for suggesting the title! :-)

I'm sorry the photo got a little dark! The weather here isn't the best for taking pictures. Here's dark and it's snowing!

Next layout is made using a sketch from Tamaras sketches. And it was fun to work with! The pictures are of my two boys sipping slush ice - which they LOOOOOVE! And especially this very blue one! I have used a mix of Sassafras Lass and My Mind's Eye "Bohemia".

The layout is more bright IRL.
I have tried to write the title myself. It should have been bigger, but now I don't do otherwise. I'll let it be as it is.

Thank you very much for visiting my little corner of the web!

Girls just ....

.... wanna have fun!!
The challenge #5 over at Multiscrap - Scrapbook Queen 2008 - was to watch the music video "Girls just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper and then be inspired to create a layout. I chose to use some photos of myself and my best friend ever - they are from New Years Eve 2003/2004 and we had so much fun!! :-)
Unfortunately Multiscrap never received my take on this challenge - I did sent it before deadline, but somehow she can't find my layout. What a shame - but that's what happens.

I have used:
Black Bazzill, different leftovers, Grungeboard (the swirl) by Tim Holtz, Green "Pine Needles" Crackle Paint on the swirl, tiny Prima flowers, ribbon "party time", buttons from Panduro, Thickers, BG letter-stickers, ink for the edges, scrappers floss and the "cool" and "funky" words are cut from a Love Elsie paper.

Thank you very much for stopping by! I appreciate all visits a lot!

I went to a crop

Yesterday I went to a crop in Dreampapers - and it was soooooo much fun! I think we were about 20 scrappers gathered for a whole day! From 10am to 10 pm. :-) A lot of beautiful and very creative layouts were created, there were aswesome challenges and prizes, great food and a wonderful atmosphere!! I love to participate in crops in Dreampapers!
I shared a table with Solvej (do you have a blog, Solvej??), Gitte , Pialine and two other girls I hadn't met before. It was a GREAT table and we had a lot for fun and cosy talking!! Thank you for a GREAT day ladies!

I worked on 3 layouts to the crop! One of them got finished, but the other two aren't done as of yet.
This one is about my sweet boys in the Summer of 2005. I've used a sketch from Pagemaps!

The swirls are made with a little Rhonna Farrer clear stamp. Ribbon is from MM, the "remember" tag is also Making Memories. Foof-a-la Buttons. Sandylion papers (the blue and red) and Basic Grey as background paper. Thickers for the title. The journaling box is Creative Imaginations.

*************************************************************
Today I managed to create a layout for the Scrapbook Queen 2008 challenges over at Multiscrap! I thought I wouldn't finish before deadline, but I did! The challenge is to watch the music video with Cyndi Lauper "Girls just wanna have fun" and then scrap a page about something that inspired us from the video! Fun, fun, fun!! I can't show that layout yet, as the voting will be in the next week!

Thank you for visiting my little blog! I'll talk to you soon!

Using Pagemaps sketches

I have always been a lettersize scrapper, but recently I discovered the joy in using the 12 x 12 size. It's amazing HOW creative and HOW much space you can use on a 12 x 12 layout. I'm so happy that I decided to finally give this size a chance! And now .... after creating about 20 layouts in this BIG size I am totally hooked! :-)
And another thing is: I can use some very cool sketches now!! And I do!! I've fallen in love with the sketches from Pagemaps - they are so awesome! And here's 2 layouts I've created using some of these sketches:

For a long time I've wanted to use these pics. for a layout. It's my oldest son when he was 2 years old and when he was 9 years old (he's now 10!). Thought it was fun to use pictures from two different times in his life in ONE layout.
I've used the Pagemaps august 2007 sketch.

These pics are brand new. They are taken in January this year, and is from our skiing vacation in France. It's my SIL and I having fun at an outdoor bar! The weather was so beautiful and it was such a nice afternoon! :-) Again I've used a sketch from Pagemaps.
I have blurred my SIL as I haven't asked her about posting her pic on the net. ;-)

Thanks a lot for stopping by! I'll talk to you soon.

March Guest Designer - woo hoo!

Now I can tell my little secret! I've been asked to be the March Guest Designer over at Scrappin Kids - which is a great challenge blog. All challenges are about our little ones ... our children!
Well, my job was to create a layout with the theme: "Scrap about the thing your little one can't live without, it can be antything - a blankie, a fave toy, fave food, fave song....".

I chose do to a layout about a cake! Both of my sons LOVE this cake - and they can't have a birthday without this cake! Therefore my layout is called "The best cake EVER!".

Go to Scrappin Kids, read the rules, and scrap about that thing your little one can't live without!

Here's my take:

Thank you very much Wati for giving me this great challenge - and thank you SO much for choosing me as your Guest Designer for this month! I feel very honoured!
