Scraplifting

I was reading in one of my scrapbooking magazines (CK - August 2007) and I saw a layout created by Jessica Sprague (page 65). I loved the design and I just had to do a scraplift. I've used some photos from Christmas 2005 showing my sweet nephew (I have "erased" his face as I haven't asked about permission to show his picture on my blog) and the other boy is my youngest one. They are sitting on my parents kitchen table having a good time! :-)

Papers: Kelly Panacci (for Sandylion = the brown one) and the other one i Daisyd's. Both papers are very old!
Brown Bazzill.
Buttons: MOD "Winder garden".
Tag with flowers on it: 3bugsinarug.
100% friends tag: K & Company.
Heart brad: From a swap.
Christmas stickers and scrappers floss: Karen Foster.
Title: Thickers.
The ribbon is bought in a supermarket.

That's all! Thanks for your visit.

Who said Thickers??

Who said Thickers?? Me?? Well, I probably did because I looooooooove those little sticky numbers & letters, which comes in all shapes and colors. I know I have mentioned my love for Thickers MANY times before ... but hey! Who can really have enough Thickers?? Not me!! Every time I shop for scrapbook-supplies I end up with one or two sheets of Thickers.....

And ......

I've been creative today. I did this layout. I wanted to use some of the BG Mellow papers I bought this week on sale. And here's the result. ... Cosy autumn photos and cosy autumn colors.

The photos seems to be a little blurry here - but in real life they are not blurry at all.
Orange flowers and tags are from Panduro Hobby. The other flowers are from a swap. The "stitching" is Doodlebug rubons and I've used Junkitz brads.

Thanks a lot for your visit! I appreciate it a lot.

Shopping!

Today I received this in the mail!!

I placed the order yesterday over at SIF.
I love the BG "Mellow" line and it was on sale (half the prize) so I couldn't resist. Other papers are 3 bugs in a rug, American Crafts and the one with the circus animals on it is "Nana's kids print" (DCWV). I love that animal print. I still need to scrap babyphotos of my two boys, so I thought it was fun to buy that sheet of paper.
Then I bought Thickers (can't have enough of those!!), scrappers floss, and an (old = August 2007) issue of Creating Keepsakes. The cool flowers are Prima "Painterly Petals Angelique fresh". I just love the colors they have. :-)
Now I will go and create something!

Yesterday I also placed an order over at Scrapgal - I ordered lots of the new cool Sassafras Lass lines! YAY!! + some other stuff. I can't wait till it hits my mailbox!!

Thanks for dropping by!

Some fun challenges

I've created two more layouts. Both are challenge-layouts and both challenges were VERY cool!

First one I did for Sisterhood of Scrap
The challenge was: Use a songtitle as the title of your layout. I wanted to use some rainy day photos and I wanted to tell the story of HOW MUCH it rained in the Summer of 2007 here in Denmark. It was totally ridiculous! ... and very, very boring! I chose to use the songtitle "Here comes the rain again" (by Erythmics). And I had so much fun creating this layout.

Next challenge layout I did for Dreamgirls challenges. A great new challenge blog!
The challenge is: Create a layout using the name of a reality show as your title. Your layout must include some form of stamping and you must use felt somewhere.
I wanted to use a photo of my DH, reading a book in the sun while laying in our hammock. I used the reality show title "Simple Life". The little jounaling box is stamped and I've used som felt under the photo (the swirls). I loved creating this layout too!!

The paper is so cool. It's My Mind's Eye "Bohemia".

Thanks a lot for stopping by. I appreciate all visits.

Secret revealed: Guest DT!!

Remember I told you that I had a little secret! Today I can reveal it! Take a look at Sketches! by Tamara!
I am the Guest DT right now! And I feel so honoured! I'm so glad that Tamara emailed med and asked me to be her Guest DT this week. :-)
I could choose any one of Tamara's sketches and create a layout. I chose sketch #33 - which you can find on Tamara's sketch blog. Here's my result:

Photos show my youngest one back in the Summer of 2003. Long time ago!! hehe. I just love the photos of him enjoying a warm and beautiful day!

Background paper are K & Company.
Buttons are Basic Grey.
Different flowers and MM flower brads.
Journaling tag: Creative Imaginations.

I hope you all are having a GREAT Saturday!

Unpubbed

Over at unpubbed, a great challenge blog, it's Sasha who's this periods person to have her 15 min.s of fame. She's chosen one of her own layouts, and we are supposed to show our version of the layout. It was so much fun to do this one:

See, I'm back to my lettersize layouts! Ahhhh - it was so cosy to scrap this format again. I think I'm the kind of person who will never get satisfied with only one type of format for my layouts. I enjoy both lettersize and the 12 x 12. ... and also minibooks! :-)
Well, for this layout I have used: Papers are K&Company "Urban Rhapsody" - I just love this line!! Felt border is from Panduro Hobby, QK fish and splashes are from swaps. The ribbon is also from a swap. Thickers and a tag.

Thanks for visiting me!

2 more crop layouts

I've done two more layouts for the week-long crop over at Sisterhood of Scrap. It's GREAT challenges the girls have come up with! :-)

For Pearls B-I-N-G-O challenge.
Here's her words:
"My challenge for you today is to to take inspiration from the game of Bingo- use a Bingo card or use numbers on your layout if you don't have one; or some sort of dab paint ( as you would on a Bingo card ) ...Using BINGO cards continue to be a hot trend in scrapbooking this year so if you haven't tried it why not now ?"

It's not how I'm used to create layouts, but it was fun to try something else. The Bingo-card is printed from the internet.

Next challenge-layout is made for Carla's ROOK Challenge.
Here's what she said:
"A rook is a bird in the crow family and is very similar to the crow. In the game of ROOK, the Rook Bird card is the highest trump card in the game. As such, it takes any trick in which it is played.
My challenge for you today is to use a bird on a layout or card, and include some stitching -- either faux or real.

And here's my result:

I've used a Pagemaps Sketch. And the birdstamp is a Rhonna Farrer stamp. The flowerstamp is a Stampendous stamp. And I've used my watercolor pens to give them some color.

Thanks to all who stop by and give me comments! :-)

Sisterhood Anniversary Crop

Over at Sisterhood of Scrap (one of my faveourite blogs) there's an One-Year-Anniversary-Crop going on for the whole week. There's a lot of great challenges and I'm participating in some of them. So far I've created two layouts for the challenges and I've planed to create more over the weekend!
First one I did was for the Scrabble Challenge, hosted by Susan
She gave us 10 letters (TASMABBORF) and we had to create a word for the title out of these 10 letters. It was so much fun! I made a layout about ABBA - the great Swedish band (back in the 70's). And here's what I came up with:

The next one I did was for the TAG challenge, hosted by Carla. Here's the rules:
My challenge for you is to create a layout/card or altered item that has at least THREE tags. Also include flowers.

And here's my take on the challenge:

The big blue flowers are made with a foamstamp and acrylic paint. :-)

Thank you very much for stopping by! I appreciate all visits.

Another little secret ....

Yeah - I have another little secret to share with you ... but not now!! You'll have to wait two weeks before I reveal it. On Saturday April 19th - to be more exact. :-) hehe! It's something cosy and very nice!

Well - I have been creative today! Actually I have been doing a lot of things today: Cleaning the house, went to a big mall with my DH and kids as the boys needed new sneakers so badly, and then we rushed home and cooked a very nice lunch. ...and now I sit here! Ahh - it's so wonderful!

Here's what I did:

The pics are a bit old (2 years), but I love them! They tell the story about my oldest son loving those little animals and bugs. I just love the Hambly rubons and thought they were nice to use on this layout. The jounaling card is Creative Imaginations "Narratives" by Karen Russell. QK grasshoppers (which I've received in a swap). Thickers for the title, Sassafras Lass paper (with the flowers) and some leftovers.

Thank you very much for stopping by! Now I will work on my little secret! ;-)

Finally!

Finally I have been creative again!! Ohh I have missed it. I haven't been very creative the last month as I'm in a new job now and it has been quite a rough start. But I love it there - there's just so much new things to learn!

I've finished this layout today. It's about my 2 boys and my DH. I love moments like this! Together, cosy and a whole lot of fun!

I have used some scraps. Paint is Heidi Swapp "sea" acrylic paint. Rubons. Thickers. Die-cut shapes are Making Memories "5thAve Sophia" (bought over at Dreampapers).

I have created one more layout which I can't show you as of yet. It's for a challenge.

Take care and thanks for visiting me!
