A great day

Today our community had a Fall-Festival. The mainstreet was closed for cars. The whole town was celebrating the coming Fall and a lot of children (including my own boys) were selling their old toy! My boys did good in selling and they now have some money for their savings. :-) How cool is that!!!

The mainattraction today was THIS GUY!!!:
Bryan Rice!

It seems like he's looking directly at me!! he he! :-)

He sings so great, so soft and tender! Ohhh my! The best of it all is that he's a local! He's from here and now he's a big singer out there in the big, big world! That's cool! When he was in primary school he went to the same school as my children are in now. Our community is so very proud of him! :-)

Click here to hear/see more of him!

I hope you all are enjoying the weekend!
Come back any time soon.

A little present

This little present I did for my mom and dad. Almost every Thursday evening we are having dinner at their house (my brother and his family are also coming). It's soooooooo cosy and I just love it. :-)
Yesterday I created a little present for my parents as a thank you for having us over again and again.
I had some "Mozart chocolate" from our vacation and my parents loves those little balls! :-) And this is what I did:

I found the how-to over at TheScrapCat. It was so easy. It only took me 20 minutes. And my parents loved the little gift. :-)

Birthday layout

My boys have their birthdays next month, so I thought it was about time to scrap some birthdayphotos this time for Tamaras sketches
The pics. are not that good, but they show my youngest one the morning he turned 7 (it's already 2 years ago!!). I loved the sketch (AGAIN). I've used a very old paper for the background, it's One Heart One Mind which I received long time ago. I think it fits the boyish birthday theme and I'm glad to have used a paper I thoght I would never use. :-)

I've used yellow Bazzill, feltflowers, buttons, scrappers floss, ribbon, clear stamp for the circle, Thickers and my edge scraper. The words on the journaling strips are cut from a word-paper.

I have been scrapping a little more, but I can't show it yet, as it's for challenges.

I appreciate all visits and comments I get - so thank you for that!
I'll talk to you soon.

Gocart

This week we received a GREAT sketch from Tamara. I loved working with it!
I love the big circle and the way the photos are placed on the layout. I decided to use some pics. of my oldest son riding a gocart. He tried that in Sommerland Sjælland last Summer and he really had a blast. He loved it and he got the technique quite fast. :-)
I have only used 3 colors: Black, green and white (to match the sweatshirt he's wearing).
Papers are Cosmo Cricket. The corners and journaling tag are Making Memories diecuts (5th Avenue) and then I've used green felt thickers for the title.

Thank you very much for dropping by!

Pigeons and an award

I did this layout for a sketch challenge over at 1-2-3-scrap. Unfortunately something happened in cyberspace as my layout never was received. Oh well, that's what happens.
I'm really satisfied with the result and I love the colors - blue and orange - together. They match so fine and they match my sons shirt.
The pics. are taken in Venice. This big place (Markus Pladsen) has sooooo many pigeons and they are very tame. The kids (and my DH + my dad!!) loved to feed them.

Orange paper: Sassafras Lass, blue/green papers and the blue bird: October Afternoon, chipchatter letters (Pressed Petals) for the title, journaling tag: My Mind's Eye, Chipboard swirl, which I painted blue with a Heidi Swapp acrylic paint and I've used some goldbrads and blue flowers.

I've received this wonderful award from Jette. Thank you very much sweetie. I really appreciate it. I'm supposed to give it to 7 people - and right now I don't know to who. I will think a little about it.
EDIT: I just noticed that Kimic also gave me this great award. Thanks a lot Kirsten, it's so sweet of you! And thank you for the nice words!

By the way, the Header is made of a photo I took in Venice. I love the outcome, but I do think it's a little too big, maybe I'll change it soon. :-)

Thanks for dropping by. I'll talk to you soon.

Cool Challenges

Before we went to Italy I participated in some challenges.
First one was over at Unik Hobby with a sketch challenge. I loved the simple sketch and loved to use circles. The colored patterned paper and the journaling circle is Cosmo Cricket.

Next challenge I did was over at 1-2-3-scrap. You had to make your own transparency to use on the layout. I was totally inspired by the Hambly transparencies - so I did a circular one. This is how I did it: Paint, a glass and then stamp on the transparency.

Here's the layout:

A wonderful vacation

Now we are back from Italy. We had some wonderful days with lots of sun, happy children, a nice camp, fun times with our families, lots of seightseeing, HOT weather (up to 43 degrees celcious), cold beer and drinks, great Italian food, a nice beach, great swimmingpools, lots of yummy fruit etc. etc.
The main attraction was Venice - ofcourse! I really LOVE that city. So beautiful, colorful, full of life, lots of history, different than all other cities and a beautiful scenery. I took a lot of great photos (304 to be exact!!) and here are some of them:

We went by bus (from the camping site). And from a tiny harbour we went by boat into Venice. It was a breathtaking view to see Venice from the "outside".

A tiny street. Not much room for a boat. But the sailors was so great at navigating. Look at the old building, so ruined and still beautiful.

Rialto Bridge! It was very crowded that day. And it was hard to take a good shot. I tried several of times from both ends of the bridge. There's a beautiful view over the grand canal when you stand on the bridge.

The Marcus Church! Beatiful architecture! Oh my! I just love it.

And finally a view over Salzburg. A very beautiful city in Austria, where we spent 2 nights on our way home. I love Austria and all the gorgeous mountains.

Now I look very much forward to be creative again. I have received a GREAT kit from the Scrapbook Nook and I look so much forward to play with it. I won't go to work until Friday - so I have some days to do some scrapping! YAY!! :-)

I'll talk to you soon!
Thanks for dropping by.
